  1. I think the concept of the Armitage files is incredibly interesting for a purist game.

Like typically the assumptions of purist Cthulhu is that nobody lives past their first encounter with the mythos, or if they do nobody believes them. However in this campaign, it seems like a very pulpy concept (I.E having the backing of a team of well-versed intellectuals to half-assedly explain the problem and give clues) has been transplanted into a purist game without any missteps.

  2. @Del – I haven’t been using said well-versed intellectuals very much so far. I think it’s kind of the tone of the campaign that their opinions are available if you seek them out, but a well-maintained group shouldn’t per se need any help they can give as far as non-mythos clues. And I’m not really in favor of the idea of anyone (but the PCs, at great cost) being able (let alone willing) to draw inferences about the squamous and supernatural – except I guess culty villains, and they’re not tellin’!

@Tim – that’s the one! Thanks! Really captured the time dilation I was thinking of!

  3. Hey Bill. In which product is this scenario found? Or did you write it?
